Autumn teaching

This module will examine research, writing, and editing methods which are supplemented by your own independent research.

During the module, you will learn how to identify a project, how to ask an interesting research question and how to do the necessary preparatory groundwork. By the end of the module, you will have identified the topic and written a proposal for your Research Dissertation.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 22 hours of contact time and about 128 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
