Political Change: The Politics of Euroscepticism (L2055)

30 credits, Level 6

Autumn teaching

Explore the ways that political change has led to European integration becoming increasingly politicised through the growth of Euroscepticism.

Taking a comparative approach, we look across Europe to consider trends and variations. You’ll consider:

  • how Euroscepticism plays out in domestic politics of European states
  • public opinion on European integration
  • the party politics of Euroscepticism
  • the effects of Euroscepticism on policy and politics, including the case of Brexit.
