Applied Research Methods (708N1E)

30 credits, Level 7 (Masters)

Summer teaching

This module introduces research methods used in management research with an emphasis on their practical application for both research and consulting purposes in real-life contexts. It starts by explaining how a research or consulting project begins, and moves on to explain how a systematic literature review is conducted, how suitable research methods are selected and applied, and how the final report is written up and delivered.

Attention is paid to both qualitative and quantitative approaches as well as philosophical and ethical issues surrounding management research. The module is taught partially face-to-face and partially in an online fashion.
