Spring and summer teaching

The main aim of this module is to enable you to undertake a research project. Specifically, it involves researching and writing up, in the form of a report, a specific aspect of marketing in a way that would support effective decision-making within an international business/management context.

Research skills will be taught as part of this module to enable you, through reflective practice, to apply those skills to either a specific research topic or an application of theory to practice in a business/management scenario. The aim is to enable you to critically survey and identify relevant theories and models and then to employ them to make recommendations for problem solutions.

If you are being sponsored by organisations, you may wish to examine a particular problem/area for your organisation.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 450 hours of work. This breaks down into about 8 hours of contact time and about 442 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology. We’re planning to run these modules in the academic year 2022/23.
