Dissertation (Global Political Economy) (935M1)

This module provides you taking the programme with the opportunity to complete under expert supervision a dissertation on a topic of your choosing relevant to the course themes. The subject will be chosen in consultation with the Programme Convenor. You will embark on preparation of the dissertation following completion of the Research Methods and Professional Skills module and submission of a research outline. A desk-based or original empirical study will be undertaken, enabling you to pursue in-depth research on an aspect of global political economy.

Contact hours and workload
This module is approximately 450 hours of work. This breaks down into about 24 hours of contact time and about 426 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
This module is running in the academic year 2021/22. We also plan to offer it in future academic years. However, we are constantly looking to improve and enhance our courses.
