Sussex offers a £2,000 fee waiver for previous Sussex students, choosing to return to study a full time Masters degree. There are unlimited awards available and any Sussex graduate is eligible, however long ago you first studied at Sussex.
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are going to study any of the following:
Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
Development Studies MA
Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
Globalisation, Business and Development MA
Governance, Development and Public Policy MA
Power, Participation and Social Change MA
Poverty and Development MA
Degrees in Social work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
Online courses
Schools direct teaching courses
Masters funded by the research councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding)

How to apply
The scholarship is an automatic fee reduction, applied when you register for your chosen Masters in September.
International students with an offer to study in the University of Sussex Business School will be able to combine this award with the Business School International Masters Award (2023). International students with an offer to study in the school of Engineering & Informaticswill be able to combine this award with the Engineering & Informatics International Masters Award (2023).

The award is paid as a tuition fee discount, applied when you register for your chosen Masters in September. If you require a visa to study at Sussex, the scholarship and fee reduction will be included on your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Study), provided by Admissions for your visa application.

Marking boycott
We are aware that some 2023 finalists will be impacted by the UCU marking and assessment boycott. If you are expecting your final classification to be delayed, we will apply the award once your degree classification is confirmed. Our Student Accounts office will adjust your tuition fee payments ahead of the award being applied, if necessary, please contact them at studentaccounts@sussex.ac.uk to request this.
