On the day

You will have the chance to:

  • have one-to-one discussions with academics, so you can choose a Masters that's right for you
  • meet current Masters students and find out what it’s like to study for a higher degree
  • find out about the wide range of Masters scholarships available at Sussex
  • receive advice on our support services, funding, careers and accommodation
  • ask any questions you may have about the application and enrolment process.

Apply to Sussex at our Open Day

During the Masters Open Day our admissions team will be on hand for those who wish to apply for a Masters course. In order to apply on the day, you must bring with you:

  • past qualifications (certificates and transcripts) or evidence of qualification currently being studied.
  • personal statement
  • a reference (if possible)
  • passport (if possible).

For the majority of our courses our admissions staff can make a provisional offer (conditional or unconditional depending on your education background) if you have or are studying standard qualifications. The offer will be subject to a three week expiry date for you to fully apply through our online application system and upload the relevant documents.

We cannot make offers:

  • on the spot for courses which require review by an academic selector, that require interview or further assessment, such as portfolios or samples of work
  • on courses in Education and Social Work, Life Sciences, most courses in Mathematics and Physical Sciences, Psychology, the Brighton and Sussex Medical School and Development Studies courses in the Institute of Development Studies
  • on the spot to applicants with uncommons qualifications or whose grades are below the standard entry requirements
  • to postgraduate research students.
