Lewes STEM Fair 2025

Join us for the highly anticipated Lewes STEM Fair 2025, a celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths for curious minds of all ages!
This year’s fair features over 20 interactive exhibits from universities, companies, charities, and community groups. Enjoy a fun-filled family day out with hands-on activities for children aged 5+, exciting demonstrations, and engaging exhibits for adults.
It’s also a fantastic opportunity for GCSE and A-level students to explore future career pathways and speak directly with university students and researchers. Refreshments will be available throughout the day so you can recharge while exploring the exhibits.
Confirmed Exhibitors Include:
- University of Sussex, School of Engineering and Informatics – Step into the exciting world of game design. Play student-created video games and experience a VR journey aboard the International Space Station.
- University of Sussex, School of Psychology – Take an interactive tour of the brain, exploring the functions of different areas through fun, hands-on activities.
- University of Brighton, Centre for Environment and Society, School of Life Sciences – Discover how engineers and ecologists are transforming Sussex’s coastline with the Southwick Reef Project.
- Lewes Swift Supporters – Build a bug hotel and learn simple actions to help Swifts return to Lewes year after year.
- Lewes Urban Arboretum – Celebrate the vital role of trees. Craft a wooden pendant or Christmas decoration to take home.
- Observatory Science Centre – Enjoy hands-on science exhibits at the pop-up science centre.
- Lewes Astronomical Society – Gaze through telescopes, build rockets, make craters, and watch a real icy (and smelly!) comet form before your eyes.
- Nick Sayers – Marvel at Giant Drawing Machines that bring the magic of maths and mechanics together.
