Accreditation

The quality of our degrees is recognised by professional accreditation to the highest levels.

All of our BSc (Hons) computer science, computing and multimedia degrees are accredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT, as fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional (CITP), and also partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).

In addition, our BScs in Computer Science and in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence are accredited as partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Scientist (CSci).

For BSc Finance and Technology (FinTech), the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) provides official recognition of the Year 2 and Year 3 finance modules as strong preparation for selected CISI qualifications. You may also opt into CISI membership for career events, presentations and employability training. The syllabus covers a minimum of 70% of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA) Program Candidate Body of Knowledge. Many further benefits and opportunities are available through the University's affiliation and partnership agreements.
