    Typical Clearing requirements

    • International Baccalaureate Diploma
      At least 28 points overall
    • Access to HE Diploma
      Pass Access to HE Diploma with at least 36 credits at Merit or above, including 12 at Distinction

    BTEC and BTEC/A-level combinations will be previewed from 12 August 2025.  

    All successful applicants whose first language is not English will need to evidence English language ability.

    You can also progress to this degree via the Social Science degree (with a foundation year)

    (In addition to academic requirements all offers will be subject to a criminal conviction check and receipt of a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.)

    Subject requirements: All Clearing applicants who meet the basic academic entry requirements will be reviewed by the Academic Reviewer. If successful at this stage, applicants will be asked to attend an interview as part of the second stage of selection before a final Clearing decision is made. In addition to the academic requirements, all offers will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (formerly known as a CRB check) and health checks. This will be dealt with after any clearing offer is made.

    GCSE requirements: GCSE (or equivalent) in English language, Mathematics and Science with at least grade 4 in each (or grade C) in each. If you have taken Combined Science GCSE, you must have a score of 4,4 or better.
