What’s the talk about?
Over billions of years, matter gathered, stars burned and fell silent, and space itself stretched to a changing tempo. As cosmic structures formed, dark energy began to dominate, accelerating the Universe’s expansion in ways we are only beginning to understand. This lecture traces the rise of structure, the fading of light, and the grand composition we call the Universe — all presented in a way that is engaging for children and adults alike.
About the speaker
Dr Eva-Maria Mueller is an Ernest Rutherford Fellow and lecturer at the University of Sussex, studying the large-scale structure of the Universe and the mystery of dark energy.
