Boundary Festival: impact on campus

Boundary Festival will be taking place in Stanmer Park – next door to campus - on Friday 26 September and Saturday 27 September.
Although the festival doesn’t take place on campus, a small area of the campus is used by festival organisers to run the event, and there will be an impact on travel to and from campus.
Festival marshals will be on campus during these days to help ensure everyone enjoys a safe and smoothly run event. To support this, we kindly ask all students and staff to carry their University ID cards, so marshals can easily verify you're part of the Sussex community. This helps distinguish attendees from festival visitors and keeps campus operations running smoothly.
Travel to campus
Stoney Mere Way will be closed on Friday 26 September and Saturday 27 September. The only road access to campus will be via Knights Gate Road.
The Southern Ring Road (between Sussex House and Stoney Mere Way) will be access only to allow vehicles to reach Sussex House Car Park (P4) and the Sports Centre Car Park (P5). Drivers can continue to use these car parks, but please note they will be busier than usual.
Bus routes will also be impacted. Buses will not call at the following stops:
- Sussex House
- Sports Centre (University Way)
- Falmer Station
Campus buses will instead enter campus via Knights Gate Road at the top of campus, and route via North South Road. Buses will continue to serve Bramber House and Northfield Lane before exiting campus via Knights Gate Road.
For live bus information, please visit Brighton & Hove Buses.
Living on campus?
Boundary Festival is an outdoor concert. If you are living on campus, you may hear some noise from the event.
The area around Falmer Railway Station is likely to be busier than usual, so please allow plenty of time to make your journey.
You can continue to order taxis and deliveries to campus – you may wish to advise your driver that they should enter campus via Knights Gate Road.
