Join Us at Hastings Science Fair 2025!
The University of Sussex is excited to be part of this year’s Hastings Science Fair—a free, fun-filled event celebrating science, discovery, and creativity for all ages.
Location: East Sussex College, Station Plaza, Hastings (next to the railway station)
Date & Time: Saturday 18 October, 11am – 4pm
Entry: Free (planetarium shows require booking via Eventbrite)
Note: Under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18.
Bring your family to explore interactive exhibits, try experiments, and meet friendly scientists, makers, and community groups from Hastings and Sussex.
Fun highlights include:
- Free planetarium shows (book in advance!)
- Hands-on exhibits from the University of Sussex Faculty of Science, Engineering and Medicine
- Solar telescope viewings (weather permitting)
- Creative workshops, nature crafts, and DIY activities
- Marine conservation and environmental stalls
- Mechanical art, minerals, and more
Hastings Science Fair is organised by Science Projects, the team behind The Observatory Science Centre, with support from the University of Sussex, East Sussex College, and Hastings Borough Council.
