Andy Clark recieves the first ever Dennett Prize from the International Centre for Consciousness Studies

Andy Clark from the Philosophy Department in the Faculty of Media, Arts and Humanities has recieved the first ever Dennett Prize from the International Centre for Consciousness Studies in Heraklion. The prize recognises work making significant advances in the philosophy of mind, cognitive science, evolutionary biology, and artificial intelligence. He was awarded £10,000 and statuette of The Crusader—a replica of Dennett’s hand-carved soapstone original.
