Winter Graduation update

Last updated: Thursday, 16 December 2021

We are very grateful to everyone who has signed up to work at winter graduation taking place on Tuesday 25, Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 January 2022 at the Brighton Centre, King’s Road, Brighton.
The health and safety of our students, staff and guests attending winter graduation remains our priority and we continue to follow the latest government guidelines. The Brighton Centre has already implemented safety measures beyond those outlined in the recent Government Plan B.
Currently the guidance is that seated live events can take place. Should the situation change, and the University’s graduation ceremonies need to be postponed due to Covid-19, we will notify staff and students as soon as feasibly possible and will keep all social media channels regularly updated.
We are incredibly thankful to be supported by many members of staff who have signed up to work during this special occasion. Those who have worked at graduation before will know that the contribution made by Professional Services staff is vital in making the celebration a success.
Over 100 members of staff are needed to work each day and we cannot emphasise enough how we value and appreciate your help. If your normal working hours are part-time, please sign up and we will find a duty to accommodate your availability.
A hot lunch will be provided as well as refreshments and snacks during your regular breaks. For more details, including descriptions of the duties available, check out our webpages.
If you have any queries in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us by emailing graduation@sussex.ac.uk or phoning 7015.
Many thanks for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the Brighton Centre.
Best wishes
