The University’s new online media platform for lecture recording, Panopto, is now live.
The software is currently being rolled out to existing lecture capture-enabled spaces in time for the new academic year.
Training on the new platform is being provided by the Technology Enhanced Learning team, with options for online or face-to-face sessions:
- Webinar: a 30 minute online session providing a walkthrough of Panopto’s key functions and the opportunity to ask questions
- Hands-on: a 50 minute face-to-face session providing a walkthrough of Panopto’s key functions and the chance to get hands on with the application with the assistance of a Learning Technologist
Deputy Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education and Innovation), Rorden Wilkinson, said: “Panopto will revolutionise the way we capture, deliver and archive content. It will allow us to record content not only in our teaching spaces but anywhere the software is accessible; and it comes with a host of features that will open up new possibilities for teaching and greatly enhance the experience of our students.”
