Local science enthusiasts are being invited to join three top University of Sussex experts for an evening of out-of-this-world chat.
The scientific trio - astronomer Dr John Gribbin, behaviour specialist Dr Paul Graham and probability expert Dr Nicos Georgiou - will be discussing the mind-blowing theories behind gravitational waves, the wonders of animal navigation and the possibilities of a zombie apocalypse!
The three short talks, entitled Science on Tap, take place at the Elephant & Castle pub, White Hill, Lewes, this Wednesday (15 March) from 7 – 9pm, and are free to join.
The evening has been arranged by the British Science Association as part of the Lewes STEMfest - a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).
Event organiser Dr Stephen Wilkins, a Senior Lecturer in Astronomy at the University, said: “This evening is a must for anyone interested in science and the natural world. We have three of the country’s foremost experts in astronomy, animal behaviour and probability who will discuss some amazing topics and take questions.
“Holding this free event in a pub over a drink is a great, informal way for everyone to share ideas and get involved in the scientific world.”
