A new EPSRC grant was awarded to the Wearable Technologies Lab @ STRC to investigate novel human activity recognition methods in wearable and mobile computing.

This project aims to develop systems capable of recognizing an open-ended set of human activities and context. By contrast, current wearable system only recognize very limited pre-defined set of activities or contexts. This new approach will enable new generations of smart assistants.

This 1-year project is due to start early 2016.
