Film Screening: Radio Days
Sunday 1 March 19:30 until 21:30
Ralli Hall, 81 Denmark Villas, BN3 3TH
This Sunday 1st March the Film Club will be screening RADIO DAYS (88 mins). This is Woody Allen's nostalgic and star-studded portrait of the late 1930s and early 40s, focusing on the memories of a young boy, Joe Needleman, growing up in a working class Jewish family in a Brooklyn suburb. It was a pre-TV era when the radio was usually on....
This gentle film is not so much a story as a series of anecdotes loosely linked together by a voice-over spoken by the director and of course the film is strongly autobiographical.
As usual it's 7 for 7.30pm at Ralli Hall, 81 Denmark Villas, BN3 3TH, with hot and cold drinks available before the film starts. Parking at Hove Station car park only costs £2 on a Sunday. Small donation on the door for non-members (full-time students free).
We look forward to seeing you there if you can make it. Next date after this one is Sunday, 19th April for 'Garden of the Finzi Continis' (Vittorio de Sica).
