Train to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages at Sussex this spring. Fees are discounted by 10% for Sussex students and alumni.
The Trinity College London Cert TESOL is a TESOL or TEFL qualification designed for those with little or no experience of teaching English.
It equips candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to take up a first post as a teacher of English to Speakers of Other Languages.
It provides an introduction to the theory and practice of contemporary English teaching, and an insight into the challenges facing the learner and the role of the teacher.
It is recognised by the British Council as an initial qualification for teachers in its accredited teaching organisations in the UK and in its own teaching operations overseas.
The Sussex Centre for Language Studies runs an intensive four-week preparation course leading to the award of the Certificate, which sits at level 5 on the National Qualifications Framework (comparable in terms of assessment standards to the second year of an undergraduate degree offered in the UK).
Course dates: 26 May–19 June 2015
