AHRC Digital Transformation in the Arts and Humanities Big Data Workshop
Apply to attend by: 17 May 2013
Workshop date: 25th June 2013
Location: London (venue tbc)
The AHRC are holding a one day Big Data Workshop.
This event is part of the AHRC's Digital Transformations in the Arts and Humanities Theme, and will bring together academics and representatives from non-academic organisations that are interested in analysing, interpreting, interrogating, and visualising (etc.) big data from an Arts and Humanities perspective. Details of the Digital Transformations in the Arts and Humanities Theme can be found here
The AHRC would like to try to bring together a really diverse set of people, from different subject areas, institutions and non-academic organisations.
During the event there will be several speakers talking about their research and challenges surrounding big data, and also an opportunity for networking and discussion with other delegates. Shortly after the workshop the AHRC will be launching a funding call and therefore the event will be partly to promote the call, but also to highlight exciting, relevant work that is already being done in this area.
If you would be interested in attending send an email by 17th May 2013, to AHRCCreativeandPerformingArts@ahrc.ac.uk with 'Digital Transformations: Big data workshop' in the subject heading, and the following attachments:
1. CV - A short CV, no longer than one side of A4
2. Word Document – A word document, no longer than one side of A4 describing why you would be interested in attending the event, and how the topic of the event fits your research/interests.
