Collaborate to Innovate: Quantum Technologies Beyond the Physics
Thursday 12 June 12:00 until 13:30
University of Sussex Campus : TBC
Speaker: The Sussex Centre for Quantum Technologies (SCQT) researchers TBC
Part of the series: Summer of Research

The Sussex Centre for Quantum Technologies (SCQT) invites you to explore how quantum technologies are poised to shape the future. Hosted by its leading academics and early career researchers, this session will spotlight the transformative potential of innovations in quantum technologies.
Quantum technologies have the potential to transform the way we work and live. They are advancing rapidly, but their full potential can only be realised through close collaboration between different fields. Progress in areas like quantum computing, quantum sensing, and quantum imaging increasingly relies on input from engineering, life sciences, healthcare, materials scientists and beyond. Likewise, advances in quantum technologies will catapult progress in many different sectors. By working together, researchers can ask better questions, co-develop solutions, and drive innovation at a much faster pace.
In this session you will hear from SCQT researchers at the forefront of quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum imaging, quantum simulation, and quantum systems and devices, each providing insight into their groundbreaking work and its intersection with other fields. From developing ultra-sensitive diagnostic tools to creating secure telecommunication systems, powerful practical quantum computers, and simulations of the world around us, these technologies promise to disrupt an array of sectors.
Discover how collaboration not only supports but actively shapes the quantum technologies research we do. Come along to meet SCQT researchers, ask questions, and explore opportunities for collaboration. The event is open to anyone who is curious about our groundbreaking research and the potential impact of quantum technologies now and in the future.
An agenda will follow shortly.
