Tianjin Delegation Delegates in a group photo with Prof. Saul Becker

On a tour of the UK, 20 representatives of universities and government ministries from the Tianjin China stopped over in Brighton to meet with leaders of the University of Sussex and the University of Brighton. We were very pleased to host them for half a day and provide information about the University of Sussex and our leading research areas.

The delegation comprised of senior representatives of 12 Universities including Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Tianjin Normal University and a host of others a number of vocational institutes as well as the Municipal Education Commission.

Deputy Vice Chancellor and Provost, Prof. Saul Becker welcomed the delegates and provided a broad overview of Sussex. They also met wIth Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor for Research, Prof. Sriram Subramania amd the Head of the Business School, Prof. Steven Mcguire both of whom showcased  the University of Sussex Research strengths. The feedback form the delegates was excellent and they really enjoyed their time at Sussex.

The Head of Global Engagement, Ms. Leina Shi thanked the guests for stopping over in Brighton as we are always happy to welcome current and prospective partners to Sussex and explore partnership opportunities.
