Autumn teaching

This module extends the ideas explored during your first two years of the degree. ou will engage in the design, research and development for a substantial practice project that will go into production in the spring term.

The module provides you with:

  • supervision in designing and researching a project
  • support in tackling technical and production issues that arise in the development and pre-production phases.

This practice work will be supported by relevant readings in media theory, aesthetics and production techniques which will be discussed in classes, as well as by creative practitioners delivering guest lectures.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 300 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 267 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.

We regularly review our modules to incorporate student feedback, staff expertise, as well as the latest research and teaching methodology.
