This PhD is linked to the prestigious UKRI/EPSRC Network Plus consortium “A green, connected, and prosperous Britain. It builds on the ground-breaking work being carried out in the group on the design and applications of liquid crystal and flexible reconfigurable metasurafces as an enabler for sub-THz and THZ mobile communications. In addition to working with the above consortium the candidate will also benefit from the 6G Labs collaboration with a range of industry players in 6G as well as our linkage with the emerging ETSI ISG in RIS. The candidate is expected to produce a number of extremely high quality and potentially ground-breaking publications.
Key Requirements.
This post suits a highly motivated individual with excellent scientific and technical skills, a willingness to publish in high profile venues, and work collaboratively and smoothly as part of a network. The candidate should have experience in software engineering, communication engineering, algorithmic development and simulations and software demonstration. A Bachelor’s degree Electrical and Electronic Engineering with specialisation in Communication/Electronic Engineering is essential, as well as demonstrable experience with modelling and algorithm development, large scale simulationsand evidence of publications. Practitioners from industry are very welcome as well as recent graduates.
