University of Sussex Business School offers guaranteed workplace internships for all Masters students

If you're joining the University of Sussex Business School in September 2026 or January 2027 as a postgraduate, you can gain direct employment skills.
Every full-time and part-time Masters student (including MBA students), whether you're from the UK or overseas, will now be guaranteed a real-world internship with an employer as part of your Sussex experience.
This is your chance to gain practical, career-boosting experience while you study – building key skills, making employer connections, and boosting your CV before you even graduate.
Internships are part-time and flexible, lasting between four and 10 weeks and always designed to fit around your studies.
You’ll choose between two exciting options:
- A collaborative internship with a UK employer through the Sussex Student Consultancy, or
- An online internship with a UK or international employer via our established partnerships
Emily Huns, Head of Careers, Employability and Entrepreneurship, said:

This new offer complements the Business School’s already rich programme of career support, which includes one-to-one career advice, mentoring, guest speakers, industry projects, competitions, and dedicated entrepreneurship initiatives, such as StartUp Sussex.
