Staff enjoy catering at the recent PS Celebrations Day

When it comes to hospitality here at Sussex, there are two distinct options depending on whether you need fuel for a meeting, or more elaborate management of an event.

This article explains both choices and how you can access the great food on offer.

Delivered

This comes direct from our catering partners; the team will drop off whatever you need, from cakes and coffee to a full lunch for you and your colleagues.

Choices range from breakfast baps, pastries and hot drinks to sandwiches, cakes or pizzas, as well as Tortilla boxes and themed graze boxes (vegan, Asian, mezze and more) to ensure there’s plenty for everyone – plus there is a new non-gluten containing ingredients (NCGI) range.

A member of catering staff will arrive before your event or meeting with the food and drink you have ordered, then come along afterwards to clear it away.

How to order delivered food

If you are a member of staff with a cost code, head to www.sussexfoodhospitality.com/updated/default.aspx to access Bluerunner, our delivered hospitality booking system (new users will need to request an account by first emailing cateringservices@compass-group.co.uk).

Allow at least 72 hours for food orders and 48 hours for drinks orders. Plus, if you’re ordering for more than 50, please email the team at cateringservices@compass-group.co.uk to discuss your order.

Conferencing and hospitality

For bigger events that need a more bespoke service, it’s time to turn to our in-house Space With US conferencing team, Wayne Spicer, Tina Lewery and Ryan Tobin, who are based in the conferencing suite on the third floor of Bramber House.

Over the summer, they offer VIP events and conferences: our busy conferencing team delivered events to more than 7,000 delegates in September.

For the rest of the academic year, they can offer event management that works for you, such as drinks receptions or conferences. The Space With US team offer prices and packages to support events with a budget through to menus to treat your guests to something a little more special at any of our fantastic venues here on campus, including the Meeting House and ACCA.

Whether it's a working lunch or a three-course meal, the menus have been designed to provide you with a fresh and varied range to choose from; for something a little different, they can arrange a trike pop-up or even a street food market for hundreds of attendees, or outside events for up to 2,000.
