Global and Summer Programmes 2023
It’s been another successful year for all our summer programmes planned and delivered by the Global Engagement team within the CMA Division. This year they welcomed over 300 students from 17 countries around the world on a variety pf academic summer programmes
It was particularly pleasing this year to see a welcome return for students from our global partnership network, including students from Zhejiang Gongshang University, our TNE partner from China studying on the inaugural Engineering and Informatics Summer School; University of California, USA studying on the long-running Physics programme which has been established for over 20 years; Southwest University, China students on an Ecology Summer School programme from the School of Life Sciences; City University Hong Kong studying a media communication course with lectures from academic staff at the V&A in London; Kasetsart University, Thailand and Seoul National University, South Korea studying modules from the Business School
Summer School students were also able to enjoy a range of social programmes on campus led by Sussex own students - including a table tennis tournament, a silent disco, and karaoke. Also excursions to highlight Sussex arts, culture and history through visits and tours to Lewes, Brighton and Seven Sisters
“This was a once in a lifetime experience that I will forever remember. I was able to explore a new country as well as gain some knowledge while I was here.”
“Summer school is always a good opportunity to grow and learn.”
