Job description

"Active US” is an exciting and collaborative project between Sussexsport and the Students’ Union which will be starting its 10th year in September 2023. 

The aim of “Active US” is to increase Sussex students’ regular participation in sport and physical activity, keeping students engaged when they transition from school or college to university and throughout their time at university.

To help deliver this project Sussexsport requires an enthusiastic and self-motivated student to deliver the running of weekly sport specific sessions, one off events and sports leagues.

This person should have knowledge of their chosen sport and ideally would have experience in either playing or coaching. Full training will be provided to aid the student to deliver the session as well as first aid training. The successful candidate should be able to demonstration good time keeping skills, organisational skills, communication skills and a willingness to work with others.

We are looking for Multi-Sports Activator applications in the following sports: (Netball x1, Football x2, Badminton x1, Women’s Football x1)

Due to the nature of the work involved, any individual undertaking this role is considered to be engaging in “regulated activity” as defined in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006, and as such will be required to undergo an Enhanced level DBS check with a children’s barred list check.
