PhD project

The diffraction limit currently stands as a significant obstacle in the field of imaging. Due to the wave nature of light, conventional imaging systems encounter a resolution limit, generally restricted to approximately half the wavelength of the utilized light, which falls within the range of a few hundred nanometres. This inherent limitation, known as the diffraction limit, poses a formidable challenge in the fabrication of nano-scale devices, including diminutive transistors and intricate electronic components. Therefore, the development of strategies to transcend this diffraction barrier is crucial for the progression of nanofabrication technologies.

This project is at the forefront of pioneering efforts to breach the diffraction limit by harnessing innovative methods such as wave interface and computational imaging. Our goal is to develop a viable imaging methodology that not only achieves super-resolution beyond the diffraction limit but also aligns with the demands of mass production in industrial environments. By integrating wave interface dynamics and advanced computational methods, we aim to generate images with ultra-fine features that surpass the traditional resolution constraints.
