Biography

Afert more than 10 years of experience in policy making practice in Peru, I enrolled in the Doctoral Programme in Science and Technology Policies Studies at SPRU. My previous experience was focused on science, technology and innovation policy as well as on competition and regulation issues. Currently, I am doing reserch on university-industry linkages and international networks in Latin America.

In the past, I was involved in processes of designing and implementing public programs and policies. I also participated in negotiations and interacted with different stakeholders such as industrial associations, consumers and firms, media, local and national government officials, and multilateral organisations.

I worked for the Peruvian National Council of Science Tecnology and Innovation (CONCYTEC), having held executive positions and participated as country representative before The Network for Science and Technology Indicators –Ibero-American and Inter-American– (RICYT).
