Sussex welcomes high profile delegation from Beifang International Education Group

A delegation of 20 from Beifang International Education Group (BIEG), led by the President and Chairman of the Group, Weichang Yang, paid Sussex a visit on 29 October 2019.
BIEG is a Chinese private education group, made up of over 20 institutions with student body of over 200,000.
Its Canvard College - embedded in Beijing Technology and Business University - has a long established relationship with the University of Sussex in the areas of degree recruitment and short-term programmes.
Pro Vice Chancellor for Education and Students, Kelly Coate, welcomed the delegation together with Deputy Pro-Vice Chancellor for International, Professor Richard Follett, and colleagues from International Office, University of Sussex Business School, Sussex Centre for Language Studies and Summer Programmes.
Head of International Office, Martin Hookham, said: “It was a tremendous pleasure to welcome delegates from across China and the Beifang Group and we are looking forward to continuing discussions for our future collaboration.”
Following the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding, both the University and BIEG expressed a strong desire to develop a more fruitful partnership moving forward.
