If you are an undergraduate or postgraduate student, you can live in one of our Brighthelm houses. Each house has five single bedrooms and two shared bathrooms.

Each bedroom contains:
- a bed and mattress (UK single)
- a wardrobe and drawers
- a desk with lamp and chair
- bookshelves
- blinds or curtains
- a mirror.
All kitchens include:
- a cooker
- a fridge freezer
- a kettle
- a toaster
- a microwave.
Bedding and kitchenware are not supplied. Bedding packs can be purchased to collect at your residence. Find out what else to pack for university.
The accommodation fee includes:
- utility bills (water, electricity and gas) and service charges
- regular cleaning of common areas
- contents insurance (basic cover)
- maintenance, management and campus security services.
Main facilities:
- a washing machine and dryer in each house
- social/dining/lounge space in each kitchen
- bike racks
- Wi-Fi (as part of a University-wide service).
All of our accommodation is self-catered.

Accommodation fees
Fees vary depending on the length of your accommodation contract:
- Undergraduate room contracts run for 39 weeks from 19 September 2026-19 June 2027
- Postgraduate room contracts run for 51 weeks from 19 September 2026-11 September 2027.

Construction work
The West Slope development will transform our campus with new living, wellbeing and social spaces. It will be under construction throughout the academic year 2026-2027 and beyond.
Construction hours are 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 8am-1pm on Saturday. View our campus map to see where the main construction zone is located.
