Events

We all need time to write, whether we are working on a book, article, funding bid, or blog. In response to this need, writing retreats throughout the academic year have become a popular and important strand of the Faculty of Media, Arts and Humanities' programme of events.

This special 2 day on-campus event will take place on:

Thursday 2nd July 2026 in A108 from 9.30am-4pm and 

Friday 3rd July 2026 in A108 from 9.30am-4pm

Light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

After this date you are still very welcome to sign up for the Retreat but please bring your own lunch provisions and refreshments

It will be an informal opportunity for faculty and PGRs to prioritise their writing and initiate a productive semester of research. Offering a flexible, unpressured approach to communal and/or individual writing, it is open to all career stages and types of research and affirms the Faculty ’s commitment to supporting all faculty and PGRs with their writing.
