Bound (The Wachowskis, 1996)
Join the Sex Diss Film Club screening of Bound (1996) directed by the Wachowskis in their directorial debut. We will meet in Silverstone 309 at 4pm on 4th March.
Sitting within the generic conventions of the neo-noir erotic crime thriller, Bound follows Violet, the companion to the mobster Caesar as she enters an affair with Corkym an ex-con with whom Violet plans to steal $2 million from the Mafia.
The film will be preceded by a short introduction by Andy Portou, who sits on the Film Club committee and is a doctoral researcher in music, with their thesis focusing on transmusicology and trans + non binary musicians experience within the digital sphere.
We will head to IDS for drinks and discussions following the screening.
