We are delighted to welcome back all University of Sussex Economics Alumni back to campus for our first ever Economics Alumni Reunion on Saturday 12 July from 3pm to 7pm!
We understand that not everyone will be able to travel back to campus, but if you are in the UK at this time, we would love to see you. If you're interested in making your visit a weekend trip in Brighton, we're offering overnight accomodation on campus - read more below.
Join us for a summer party inspired networking reunion, featuring a BBQ, refreshing drinks and a special talk. We’ll be joined by Professor Sambit Bhattacharyya, Head of Economics, and our facilitator, Dr C. Rashaad Shabab, Director of Student Experience - faces you may well recognise!
I’m excited to share that we will also be hearing from Economics alumnus, Allan Ang. He’ll begin with a nostalgic trip down memory lane, before diving into his talk, ‘The Leadership Mindset’. Allan will share how to take charge of your career, define your purpose, and set goals that truly matter. It’s going to be a session full of valuable insights and the perfect spark for some great conversations during networking. Read more about Allan below.

Speaker Information - Allan Ang
Allan is a Senior HR Executive and Advisory Board Member at the University of Sussex Business School. With over 15 years of HR leadership experience at global brands like Visa, Estée Lauder Companies, and KFC, he is a strategic talent leader who has designed, built, and transformed ecosystems that attract, engage, and develop thousands of employees into future leadership roles.
Beyond the corporate world, Allan is passionate about giving back. He actively coaches professionals to navigate and accelerate their careers, sharing insights and advice through his Instagram platform, @TheCareersUncle.

Overnight accommodation
We are offering the chance to stay overnight (Saturday 12 July) in the new East Slope accomodation for just £72.60 per person, per night. This includes a single ensuite room with use of a communal lounge area, tea and coffee making facilities, towel, toiletries and a complimentary breakfast. Please note that spaces are limited.
