If you need to drive to campus, we want to help you to do this more sustainably.

The University of Sussex encourages staff, students and visitors to choose sustainable or active travel methods to come to campus wherever possible. However, these modes of transport aren’t suitable for everyone.

Parking for electric cars

We have nine electric car charging points to ensure that you can charge your electric vehicle, located in the Jubilee multi-storey car park. These are only available to drivers permitted to park on campus, i.e. those with a campus parking permit or a pass to park.

You must register your electric vehicle before you can use these charging points, you can do this by e-mailing us at Electric vehicle charging is charged at a cost of 15p per kWh (kilowatt hour).

Our charging points are managed by the POD Point Open Charge app, which is available on all iOS and Android devices. Consult the electric charging user guide [PDF 67.44KB] for a full step-by-step guide on how to use the Jubilee car park charging points.

Further information on electric charge points can be found on the POD Point website.

You can find more information about parking on campus on our Sussex Estates and Facilities campus parking page.
