UKRI is funding Future Leaders Fellowships of up to seven years to support early-career researchers. 

We welcome expressions of interest for Future Leaders Fellowships at Sussex at any time. However, we can submit only a limited number of candidates, who will go through a University-wide internal selection process.

Expressions of interest for the current open round are now open, and the deadline to apply to the internal selection process is 23 January 2026. If you want to be considered, please email a draft of your proposal using the Sussex FLF R11 internal application form to Sebastian Jäger.
