Spring teaching

This module builds from the skills developed in Analysing Media, Film and Music. It adopts a thematic approach to explore concepts and subjects such as:

  • representation
  • ritual
  • protest
  • voice.

Equipped with the analytical toolkit you developed in the autumn semester, you’ll demonstrate your understanding and engagement – as well as your critical and creative thinking skills – through a variety of music, media and filmmaking practices.

Contact hours and workload

This module is approximately 150 hours of work. This breaks down into about 33 hours of contact time and about 117 hours of independent study. The University may make minor variations to the contact hours for operational reasons, including timetabling requirements.
