University accommodation guarantee

Visiting and Exchange students coming to Sussex for a full academic year are guaranteed University-managed accommodation (which might be on or off campus). The deadline to apply is 30 June 2020.


How to apply for accommodation

You can complete your housing application online. You'll be sent a link to the application when you receive your offer to study at Sussex from our Sussex Abroad team.

Types of University-managed accommodation

Our student accommodation includes a mix of single and shared bedrooms in residences.

All on-campus rooms have wi-fi and we offer rooms with a private (en suite) or shared bathroom.

We offer only self-catered accommodation, with students sharing kitchens, and have adapted accommodation on campus for students with disabilities.

Support with your accommodation

You will be supported by our Housing Services team, and by our live-in residential advisor – a Sussex student who will help you when you arrive and with any problems you may have.

We know that when you arrive in the UK you may feel nervous that you do not know anyone, but with our residential Facebook pages you can talk to students you will live with before you arrive.

You will receive an email invitation to join the private Facebook page for your residence when you have been allocated a room.
