Sussex Centre for Consciousness Science launch event

We are delighted to invite you to the launch event for the Sussex Centre for Consciousness Science on Wednesday 16 October 5.30pm - 8.30pm. The Centre is one of twelve new Centres of Excellence at the University of Sussex. Our mission is to advance the scientific and philosophical understanding of consciousness, and to use the insights from this research for the benefit of society, medicine and technology.
The University of Sussex has established an internationally leading reputation in the science of consciousness over the last decade and a half. The inauguration of our new Centre of Excellence gives us fresh impetus and direction by integrating researchers across many disciplines including neuroscience, computer science and AI, physics, philosophy, psychology, and psychiatry.
Please join us at this launch event, where there will be the opportunity to learn more about the Centre and its work, and to network with researchers and other guests. Refreshments will be provided, and you’ll have the chance to experience a number of mind-bending interactive demonstrations of consciousness science in action.
