Civic University Agreement mission

We've signed a landmark Civic University Agreement [PDF 2.68MB] (CUA) with our partners, committing to work together to create a more sustainable, connected, and equitable future for our region.

This shared mission brings education, public services, business, and communities together to drive positive social, economic, and environmental change across Sussex.

What is the Civic University Agreement?

The agreement is a commitment for partners to work together to play a stronger, long-term role in supporting and improving the local area.

Drawing on a shared understanding of local needs and opportunities, the agreement sets out how we will work together to promote environmental sustainability, community cohesion, and inclusive growth.

Through joint initiatives in areas such as nature recovery, renewable energy, education, health, and cultural development, we aim to make Sussex a better place for everyone to live, work, and learn.
