Tuition fees for home students (2018/19)

Home student fees: £9,250 per annum.

These fees are set by the University, but are subject to UK Government confirmation and to satisfying the Teaching Excellence Framework.

We expect that fees will increase in subsequent academic years as the Government reviews the fee levels.

This fees rise is permitted by Office for Fair Access (OFFA) approval of our ACCESS Agreement and in accordance with the Scholarships, Fees and Living Costs information published in the prospectus each year when students applied to study with us.

Tuition fees for UK full-time students pay for your education costs (including both tuition and exams). However, in addition to tuition fees, you will need sufficient funds to cover living expenses, including costs associated with your course such as books and materials.


Tuition fees for EU students (2018/19)

EU student fees: £9,250 per annum.

The UK Government has confirmed that EU students commencing their studies in September 2017 will be charged at the home fee rate for the duration of their course, even if the UK exits the European Union during that period.

Tuition fees for EU full-time students pay for your education costs (including both tuition and exams). However, in addition to tuition fees, you will need sufficient funds to cover living expenses, including costs associated with your course like books and materials.


Tuition fees for Islands students (2018/19)

Islands student fees: £9,250 per annum

BMBS in Medicine for Islands students: £30,450 per annum

These fees are set by the University, but are subject to UK Government confirmation and to satisfying the Teaching Excellence Framework (see our terms and conditions for undergraduate students 2018/19).

We expect that fees will increase in subsequent academic years as the Government reviews the fee levels.

As permitted by OFFA approval of our ACCESS Agreement and in accordance with the Scholarships, Fees and Living Costs information published in the prospectus each year when students applied to study with us, tuition fees for returning Islands undergraduate students will rise to:

  • £9,250 for the 2018/19 academic year (in line with the maximum permitted by the UK Government.)

The rise equates to inflation as calculated by the UK Government.

Tuition fee loans are means-tested for Channel Islands and Isle of Man students, and may be subject to an upper limit of £9,250.

Tuition fees for overseas students (2018-19)

Tuition fees for overseas students for the year 2018-19 are outlined below:

  • standard lower rate and foundation year: £15,500 per annum
  • standard higher rate: £19,200 per annum
  • BMBS in Medicine: £30,450 per annum

Note that your fees may be subject to an increase on an annual basis (see our terms and conditions for undergraduate students 2018/19).

Overseas student tuition fees are set by Council for each year’s entry and the first year fee and annual inflationary increases (subject to rounding for administrative purposes) are set for the duration of the course at the outset.

All current cohorts of students have approved fee rises of 2.5% per annum.
