Tuition fees for home students (2018/19)

Home Masters student fees are set by Council for each year’s cohort. The first year fee and (if applicable) annual inflationary increases (subject to rounding for administrative purposes) are set for the duration of the course at the outset. All current cohorts of returning students have approved fee rises of 2.5% per annum.

Tuition fees for home Masters students studying standard courses in 2018-19 were:

  • £7,900 (standard lower rate)
  • £9,500 (standard higher rate).

We expect that fees will increase in subsequent academic years as the Government reviews the fee levels. Find out about fees for returning students.

Tuition fees for UK full-time students pay for your education costs (including both tuition and exams). However, in addition to tuition fees, you will need sufficient funds to cover living expenses, including costs associated with your course such as books and materials.

  • £7,900 (standard lower rate)
  • £9,500 (standard higher rate).

Tuition fees for Islands full-time students pay for your education costs (including both tuition and exams). However, in addition to tuition fees, you will need sufficient funds to cover living expenses, including costs associated with your course such as books and materials.

Tuition fee loans are means-tested for Channel Islands and Isle of Man students, and may be subject to an upper limit of £9,250.


Tuition fees for overseas students (2018-19)

Tuition fees for overseas students for the year 2018-19 are outlined below:

  • standard lower rate and foundation year: £15,500 per annum
  • standard higher rate: £19,200 per annum
