Media, Arts and Humanities Research Conversations
Tuesday 13 June 13:30 until 15:00
University of Sussex Campus : Silverstone SB112, SB302 and SB312
In response to a widely articulated desire for more opportunities to meet researchers from across the school, we want to bring together groups of faculty and PGRs around shared areas of research interest.
These Media, Arts and Humanities Research Conversations will be informal, with the primary aim of encouraging connections and potentially sparking new ideas and collaborations. Each of the three themes will have a facilitator and will run for an hour and a half.
This second set of three parallel conversations will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 13th June 2023 1.30-3pm in SB112, SB302 and SB312.
The three themes will be: Sound; Conflict/Violence; and Archives.
- Sound - room SB112
- Conflict - room SB302
- Archives - room SB312
Refreshments will be available, and drinks will follow in the social from 3-5pm in SB314, the Silverstone Social Space on the third floor.
Don’t worry if you feel torn between themes: choose one and you will be able to catch up with the discussion in the other groups via the accounts we will put up on the Media, Arts and Humanities Institute website. Equally, don’t worry if you don’t feel your work connects to these three areas; there will be three new themes in the next event.
Please register via Eventbrite to attend (to give us a sense of numbers). When you click 'Reserve a spot' you will be given the choice to book a ticket for Sound, Conflict/Violence, or Archives: please only book a place at one session, as they all take place at the same time.
