Whether you're a student, a researcher, or faculty our sessions provide opportunities to explore advanced research techniques, critically evaluate information sources, learn about open research and engaging with AI for research.
Managing your research data: supporting qualitative data sharing
Qualitative data has rich potential for re-use in future research, but it can be challenging to navigate routes for data sharing.
This session will support attendees with data management planning that will help embed consideration of data sharing principles throughout the research process.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this session you will be able to:
- Understand best practice in using consent forms and participant information sheets to seek consent for data sharing
- Identify common pitfalls in phrasing that prevent data sharing
- Consider a range of options for sharing qualitative data, including using embargos or restricted access

Propose an exhibition or event
We welcome proposals from University of Sussex colleagues to co-produce exhibitions and/or events in designated spaces in our buildings. If you wish to propose or design an exhibition for spaces within the Library and any associated digital or event activities that accompany an exhibition, please complete the Exhibition and events application form and submit to us by uploading below.
Applications should be submitted with at least six months’ notice for exhibitions and three months' notice for events in advance of the proposed start date and require relevant sign-off at Associate Dean, Executive Dean or Director of Professional Services level. This application should be completed in conjunction with the Exhibition and Events process document.
