Best paper awards

The International Young Finance Scholars Conference celebrates outstanding research through Best Paper Awards.

The awards recognise originality, academic quality and the potential to make a significant contribution to the finance literature, while encouraging excellence among early career researchers.

The number of awards, award categories and prize values will depend on the number and range of papers accepted for presentation.

Categories will therefore be announced once the conference programme has been finalised, ensuring that the awards reflect the breadth of research presented at the conference.

At the conclusion of each presentation session, the Session Chair may nominate one or more papers that they believe are worthy of consideration for a Best Paper Award. Nominated papers will then be evaluated by a judging panel drawn from members of the Scientific Committee.

In assessing nominated papers, the judging panel will consider factors including the originality of the research question, the quality of the methodology, the significance of the findings, the clarity of the presentation and the papers potential contribution to academic research and practice.

The Best Paper Award winners will be announced during the closing session of the conference, immediately following the 'Meet the Editors' panel discussion.
