Online activity spaces
Activity rooms are at the heart of the International Young Finance Scholars Conference.
They are designed to help participants build an active international research community before, during and after the conference by exchanging ideas and resources, discussing research challenges, matching researchers with shared interests, and developing connections that last beyond the event.
Participants may record their research profile and indicate their networking interests as part of conference registration.
Before the conference
After registering your research profile, you can engage with IYFS registered online spaces. These provide opportunities for any conference registrant to introduce themselves, discover researchers with related interests, share research questions and resources and begin conversations well before the conference takes place.
Participation will be informal and flexible. Researchers will be able to join the activities most relevant to their interests and engage at times that suit their time zones.
During the conference
Live activity room sessions will take place during conference breaks.
Similar activities will be offered at different times across the two conference days so that participants from all time zones can enjoy live interactions.
The scheduling during the conference depends on preferences given during registration and level of demand during pre-conference activities.
After the conference
Some online spaces will remain available after the conference so that conversations, collaborations and research networks can continue.
Participants will be encouraged to use them to follow up connections made during the live sessions, continue research discussions and develop new collaborations.
