Synergy Drivers for Sustainable Development: Exploring the SDG acceleration framework & cross-sector collaboration
While progress has been made towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the world is now at a critical juncture. Most SDG targets remain off track, and there is increasing recognition that siloed approaches are insufficient in the final years before 2030.
The University of Sussex, led by the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme, is hosting the next annual tripartite event with IDS, the Africa Centre, and the University of Ghana. You are warmly invited to attend this online workshop on the subject of Synergy Drivers for Sustainable Development: Exploring the SDG acceleration framework and cross-sector collaboration.
The workshop will build on the findings of the report on synergy drivers recently prepared by the Sussex Sustainability Research Programme for the FCDO, as well as themes explored in previous tripartite events. The event will introduce and critically examine the concept of synergy drivers (policies and measures that advance multiple SDGs), with a focus on how these approaches can help accelerate SDG achievement in the final phase of the 2030 Agenda.
