Volunteer at the Forest Food Garden
Thursday 26 February 13:30 until 15:30
University of Sussex Campus : Forest Food Garden
Part of the series: Forest Food Garden Sessions
The Forest Food Garden is running year-round volunteer sessions for staff and students!
Join us on Thursday 26th February, 1.30–3.30pm to help care for our beautiful forest food garden, learn about sustainable food growing, and enjoy the benefits of spending time outdoors. Even a short visit makes a difference, and you’ll leave feeling refreshed and connected to nature.
We’ll be working alongside Paul, our practical garden tutor, whatever the weather - come rain or shine (but not in very strong winds!). Come along for as little or as long as you'd like.
Staff are encouraged to use their volunteering leave to take part.
Things to bring:
-
Secateurs, shears, or loppers (tools provided if needed)
-
Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear (some wellies and waterproofs available)
-
Water, sunscreen
-
Gardening gloves (spares available)
For questions or to register your interest, please contact Perpetua Kirby at p.kirby@sussex.ac.uk
